An aggressive clash of mechanical and acoustic instruments, catchy melodies and rich, sometimes dissonant harmonies; modernist, electronic, and beat-driven. This music grew out of the work Hal Hartley was engaged in from 1998 till 2004 – a period in which he chose to focus on more experimental films, theater, and music.
