About Us
Possible Films is a small company run by me, Hal Hartley. I write, direct, and produce films and then try to market them. I also make music.
The Website/Store you are presently at is a project of Kyle Gilman and myself. Kyle is a motion picture editor who works with me regularly. And he is my Information Technology Chief. Together, with advice from other friends, we undertook to move into the digital retail biz.
It is hoped that this Website/Store will provide a simple to use and informative base for folks interested in what I do, as well as a convenient place to purchase digital downloads of my work.
Maybe we’ll expand. But let’s see how things go.
Possible Films has a great relationship with Microcinema International, who distributes some of my films exclusively worldwide on DVD. But they also sell imports and back issues of other titles of mine.
I use CDBaby to sell my movie soundtrack CDs. And Bug Digital looks after the online use of my music.
Fortissimo Films is the international sales agent for a bunch of my films.
These are all good people, highly recommended.
But, as far as Possible Films goes, I guess that’s all it is: a loose confederation of like-minded semi-criminal artist types hanging around my apartment scheming.
