Jude is a college literature professor who has been stuck on a passage from Dostoevski’s “The Brother’s Karamozov” for a number of weeks. His students rebel and he himself begins to think his intellectual crisis is somehow connected to his heart stopping infatuation with a 20-year-old student named Sofie.
Digitally re-mastered for the first time, this early Hartley favorite stars Martin Donovan, Mary Ward, Matt Malloy, and Rebecca Nelson.
